Die Vertragsstaaten der Biowaffen-Konvention haben 1987 und, in veränderter Form, 1992 vereinbart, jährlich so genannte Vertrauensbildende Maßnahmen (CBMs) durchzuführen und Informationen über die jeweilige nationale Biowaffen-Abwehrforschung sowie andere relevante Bereiche abzugeben. Die CBMs werden über die Vereinten Nationen den anderen Vertragsstaaten zur Verfügung gestellt, mit Ausnahme Australiens und der USA machen die meisten Ländern sie jedoch nicht öffentlich zugänglich. In Verbindung mit unseren Länderstudien (mehr dazu hier) haben wir jetzt einige ausgewählte CBMs hier ins Internet gestellt.

State Parties to the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) agreed in 1987 and in a revised version in 1992 to submit annually so called 'Confidence Building Measures' (CBMs), i.e. information on biodefense programs, biological capabilities and other relevant fields. CBMs are submitted to the United Nations, but most countries - with the notable exception of Australia and the USA - do not make them available to the general public.
